Museo de Artistas Argentinos Benito Quinquela Martín

The Museo Benito Quinquela Martín is a museum of fine arts in the heart of La Boca, the vibrant riverside neighbourhood of Buenos Aires. Founded by celebrated Argentine painter Benito Quinquela Martín, the museum was one of several cultural institutions he donated to his neighbourhood to create a hub of education, art, and community life. Quinquela Martín's own vivid port scenes — depicting the workers, boats, and industrial energy of the Riachuelo — form the heart of the permanent collection, which also presents works by other Argentine painters and sculptors. Deeply committed to community engagement, the museum runs educational programmes for schools and families and regularly hosts temporary exhibitions and cultural events.
