Museo Nacional de Arte Oriental

The Museo Nacional de Arte Oriental (MNAO) in Buenos Aires is Argentina's only public museum dedicated exclusively to the art and culture of Asia and the Islamic world. Its collection encompasses paintings, sculptures, ceramics, textiles, lacquerwork, and decorative objects from China, Japan, Korea, India, Southeast Asia, and the Islamic world, spanning many centuries of artistic production. The museum presents both permanent galleries and temporary exhibitions, including shows by contemporary artists in dialogue with the historic collection, as well as educational programmes and events open to the public.
