Located in the Aizu area of Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, the museum opened in June 1999 and is celebrating its 24th anniversary this year. The collection includes approximately 340 paintings, sculptures, and prints by Salvador Dalí (1904-1989), 60 photographs by the collaboration of Salvador Dalí and Philippe Halsman (1906-1979), approximately 40 paintings from modern Western paintings approximately 30 works by British contemporary artist PJ Crook (1945-), and approximately 30 works by British contemporary artist PJ Crook (1945-).
