Museo de Arte Tigre

Situated on the banks of the Luján River in the delta town of Tigre, the Museo de Arte Tigre (MAT) is one of Argentina's most prestigious art museums. Housed in a magnificent early-twentieth-century building originally constructed as a social club, the MAT combines remarkable architectural heritage with a rich collection spanning the history of Argentine visual art. The collection includes works by Rugendas, Eduardo Sívori, Della Valle, Fernando Fader, Benito Quinquela Martín, Antonio Berni, Spilimbergo, Soldi, and many other leading Argentine painters. The museum's terraces and gardens offer stunning views of the river, making each visit a unique experience where art and natural landscape intertwine. The MAT hosts an active cultural programme of temporary exhibitions, guided tours, workshops, and performances throughout the year.
