Museo de la Memoria
The Museo de la Memoria in Rosario is housed in the former Comando del II Cuerpo de Ejército — a building used as a clandestine detention and torture centre during Argentina's last military dictatorship (1976–1983). The museum is dedicated to preserving the memory of the victims of state terrorism and to promoting human rights, justice, and collective memory. Its permanent and temporary exhibitions explore the history of the dictatorship, resistance, and its legacy, with major works by artist León Ferrari among the permanent collection. Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the coup in 2026, the museum serves as a vital site of memory and civic engagement in the city of Rosario.
