James Turrell Museum
The James Turrell Museum at Bodega Colomé is the only museum in the world exclusively dedicated to the work of renowned American light-and-space artist James Turrell. Situated at 2,300 metres above sea level in the Calchaquí Valley of Salta, Argentina, within the grounds of one of the country's oldest wineries, the museum was designed by Turrell himself. It houses nine of his most important light works spanning five decades, exhibited in specially designed light rooms across 1,700 square metres. The interplay of natural high-altitude light with Turrell's installations creates an unforgettable sensory experience. The museum was made possible through the collection of Donald Hess.
