Dokumentationsarchiv des österreichischen Widerstandes (DÖW): Gedenkstätte Steinhof
The Gedenkstätte Steinhof in Vienna is a memorial site documenting the role of the Heil- und Pflegeanstalt "Am Steinhof" — today the Otto Wagner Hospital — as a Vienna center of National Socialist medical crimes during 1938–1945. At least 7,500 Steinhof patients were killed under the Nazi euthanasia program, and the "Am Spiegelgrund" Children's Ward, operating 1940–1945, killed approximately 800 sick or disabled children and youth.
