Karden- und Heimatmuseum

The Karden- und Heimatmuseum Katsdorf is Austria's only museum dedicated to the weaver's thistle (Karde), a plant once central to the textile industry for raising the nap on wool and other fabrics. Housed in the former schoolhouse in Katsdorf in the Mühlviertel region, the museum traces the history of Karde cultivation and processing alongside broader local and rural history.
