Keltendorf Mitterkirchen

Keltendorf Mitterkirchen is an open-air Celtic village museum (Freilichtmuseum) in Mitterkirchen im Machland, Upper Austria, bringing to life the Iron Age Hallstatt culture of around 700 BC. The site features approximately 20 reconstructed Celtic buildings set in a landscape that closely resembles the original settlement uncovered nearby. Visitors can walk through round-houses, granaries, and workshops, and learn how people lived in the Machland valley 2,700 years ago. The museum offers extensive educational programmes for school groups and is also a unique venue for events including weddings and children's birthday parties.
