Augustiner Chorherrenstift St. Florian
Stift St. Florian, an Augustinian monastery reformed in 1071 and renowned for its baroque architecture, is a community of canons dedicated to prayer, pastoral care and cultural preservation in Upper Austria. The monastery's late-baroque library holds around 150,000 volumes, with 108,000 volumes (60,000 titles) from before 1900. Music is central to its cultural life: the famous Bruckner organ performs live concerts in the basilica daily from May through late October (except Tuesdays and Saturdays) at 14:30.
