Freilichtmuseum Hackenschmiede
The Freilichtmuseum Hackenschmiede in Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting is an open-air industrial heritage site that demonstrates the use of water power in traditional smithing. Three undershot waterwheels powered by the Wimbach drive the hammer mill and the bellows that fed air into three forges, allowing visitors to see the entire process of historic blacksmithing in action. The site is particularly popular with groups interested in experiencing solid traditional craftsmanship first-hand.
