Montanmuseum Altböckstein

The Montanmuseum Böckstein in Bad Gastein, Salzburg, tells the story of gold mining in the High Tauern mountains, covering centuries of ore extraction in the Gastein valley. Visitors can also experience gold panning at the historic "Alte Pöck" site and tour the adjacent Schaukraftwerk Nassfeld demonstration hydroelectric power plant.
