Archäologisches Museum Innsbruck – Sammlung von Abgüssen und Originalen der Universität Innsbruck
The Archäologisches Museum Innsbruck – Collection of Casts and Originals of the University of Innsbruck, founded in 1869, is the largest collection of classical antiquities in western Austria with over 1,300 objects. Its combined cast, copy, and original holdings provide a near-complete overview of Greek and Roman art and cultural history, including Greek ceramics and terracottas and a sizable collection of Roman sculptures and Latin inscriptions. The museum operates at two locations—the main university building on Innrain and the ATRIUM Centre for Ancient Cultures on Langer Weg—and offers dedicated school programmes by advance appointment.
