Freilichtmuseum "Villa Rustica"

The Freilichtmuseum Villa Rustica in Rankweil is an open-air archaeological site presenting three buildings of a Roman estate that was inhabited from the 1st to the 5th century AD. The first house was discovered in 1954, with two further buildings — the main house and a Roman bath house — excavated between 2002 and 2007. A walkway with information panels and a glass display case allows visitors to view the original foundations and key finds, including weapons, coins and everyday objects.
