Barockbaumeister Museum
The Barockbaumeister Museum in Au, Vorarlberg tells the story of the Baroque master builders of the Bregenzerwald and the founding of the "Auer Zunft" (Au Guild) in the late 17th century. Its four exhibition areas cover planning and education, organising construction, mobility and networks, and the lives of families while the builders worked abroad. The museum also showcases the contemporary craftsmanship of Au and hosts annual special exhibitions, guided tours, and events. Each summer it presents a themed exhibition dedicated to individual master builders of the region.
