Burg Hochosterwitz
Burg Hochosterwitz, perched on a dramatic rocky outcrop in Carinthia, Austria, is one of the country's most iconic medieval castles. Its museum displays armour, weapons and historic artefacts; the grounds host exhibitions, concerts and cultural events; and the Burg Restaurant serves traditional Carinthian cuisine. The castle is reached via fourteen historic gates and is a top day-trip destination in the region.
