GailtalMuseum

The GailtalMuseum at Schloss Möderndorf in southern Carinthia houses the Sammlung Georg Essl, a regional collection telling the story of Gailtal valley life, work and customs. The museum reopens annually from late April to late October with a "Kultursommer" programme of concerts, special exhibitions and events; the Ingeborg-Bachmann-Kuppel in front of the museum hosts literary events linked to the writer's centenary. The site also includes a shop and café.
