Bon Accord Cottage - National Trust
Bon Accord Mine Museum is a National Trust of South Australia site forming part of the Burra Heritage Trail. Housed in the original mine office and workshop, the museum presents the history of the Burra copper mining area from 1845 to 1877. The site was first purchased in 1846 by speculators from Aberdeen, Scotland — who named the venture Bon Accord — and was later used to pump water from the disused workings to supply the town of Burra after mining operations ceased.
