Burra Police Station. Lockup & Stables - National Trust

The Burra Police Lockup and Stables is a historic site dating from 1847, erected at the rear of the first police station in Burra, South Australia, and used as a temporary gaol until Redruth Gaol was built in 1856. Additional cells and stables were constructed in 1873, and the site has been part of the National Trust of South Australia's collection since 1976. It is accessible via the Burra Heritage Passport, which provides entry to multiple heritage sites in the town.
