Gawler Old Telegraph Museum-National Trust
The Gawler Old Telegraph Station Museum is housed in a heritage-listed two-storey local stone building constructed in 1860 by the Colonial Architect, originally opened as a telegraph office in 1861. It was later used as a school of mines and an electoral office before becoming the Gawler Museum, where displays portray the local history of Gawler and district. Notable items in the collection include a Triola, Aoelian Orchestralle, box piano, John McKinlay's travelling chests, period fashion dresses and Hoffman's pottery.
