Hughes Pump House-National Trust
The Hughes Pump House at Moonta Mines preserves a 60-inch Cornish beam pumping engine erected in 1865, used to pump water from the copper mine shafts. It is one of the finest surviving examples of Cornish mining technology in Australia and forms part of the Moonta Mines National Heritage Place, managed by the National Trust of South Australia.
