Miner's Dugouts-National Trust
The Burra Miner's Dugouts are a remarkable historical site where around 600 dugouts were excavated along the banks of Burra Creek between 1846 and 1851. These dwellings housed approximately 1,800 people, representing over 40% of what was then Australia's seventh largest settlement.
