Claremont Museum
The Claremont Museum is housed in the historic Freshwater Bay School, originally built in 1862 and the oldest surviving building between Perth and Fremantle. The Town of Claremont opened the museum in 1975 — making it the first metropolitan council-owned museum in Western Australia. The museum collects, preserves and interprets the cultural heritage of Claremont and the Freshwater Bay area.
