Carisbrook House
Carisbrook Historic House in Lane Cove, New South Wales, is a sandstone home built in the 1880s from locally quarried stone — a survivor of a time when land around the Lane Cove River was a world away from Sydney. Curated by the Lane Cove Historical Society (LCHS), which has researched and managed artefacts representing life in Lane Cove since 1962, the house is open to visitors on the third weekend of every month (except December) from 10am to 4pm.
