Don Bank Museum
Don Bank Museum is the oldest timber house in North Sydney, built on the Wollstonecraft/Berry estate in the 1830s or 1840s. It is one of the best and earliest examples of a 'slab' cottage in Australia, later home to the Irish-Australian White family. Now run as a local history museum by North Sydney Council, it is a rare survivor of early St Leonards (as 19th-century North Sydney was known), with a permanent exhibition telling the story of the house, its occupants and the surrounding community.
