Eskbank House
Eskbank House Museum is the Lithgow district's regional museum, set within a Georgian sandstone home built in 1842 by Thomas Brown. Opened to the public on 21 November 1966 as one of Australia's earliest house museums, it preserves four front rooms much as they were in Brown's day, complete with Regency and early Victorian furniture. The museum holds a notable collection of Lithgow Pottery, memorabilia and photographs of early Lithgow, and a static steam engine display, with the locomotive "Possum" — formerly used at the Lithgow Blast Furnace — on view in the grounds.
