Illawarra Historical Society Inc & Illawarra Museum

The Illawarra Museum, managed by the Illawarra Historical Society, is housed in the former Post and Telegraph Office built between 1865 and 1882 — an excellent example of late colonial Australian architecture in the heart of Wollongong, New South Wales. The museum's collection spans the nineteenth century to the present day and showcases furniture, photographs, documents, and artefacts from the Illawarra region. Entry is free, with donations appreciated.
