Emmaville Mining Museum
Emmaville Mining Museum, in the historic mining village of Emmaville in the Glen Innes Highlands, holds the renowned Curnow mineral collection along with the Jillet, Gilbey, Ellis, Schumacher, Trethewey, Hermann and Maskey collections – more than 4,000 mineral and gem specimens in total. The museum complex also includes Foley's General Store Museum, a replica blacksmith's shop, an old wood-fired bakery, a machinery shed of old mining equipment, a miner's hut, more than 400 photographs of the old mines, and a 1,500-bottle collection.
