Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum

The Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum in Bathurst permanently houses the Somerville Collection, which represents the lifetime work of Warren Somerville and contains more than 5,000 of the finest and rarest specimens of mineral crystals and fossils from around the world. The internationally renowned collection is displayed in two main exhibitions \u2014 the Fossil Gallery (with specimens from every major stage of life on Earth, fossils in amber, unique Australian opalised fossils and a Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton) and the Mineral Gallery.
