Australian National Aviation Museum

The Australian National Aviation Museum \u2014 now reverted to the name Moorabbin Air Museum \u2014 was founded in 1962 and is run by volunteers and members. Its mission is to collect, preserve and display aircraft and artefacts of Australian aviation heritage and to educate and inspire future aviators. Highlights include rare Australian-built aircraft such as the oldest surviving Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation Wirraway (A20-10), a Victa Airtourer and a DAP Mk 21 Beaufighter \u2014 one of only two Australian-built variants left in the country and the only Beaufighter in the world still capable of ground-running.
