Yamanashi Prefectural Museum

■Welcome to the Yamanashi Prefectural Museum ! Yamanashi is situated in the center of the Japanese archipelago, and is one of the few prefectures without any sea on its borders. About 80% of its land is covered by mountains and forests. Yamanashi’s history and culture was developed and passed down in such diverse environment. The activities of the museum is centered on its basic concept ‘Nature and People in Yamanashi’. It will carry on comprehensive study on how people of Yamanashi lived in its manifold nature.
