Ivo Andric Memorial Classroom
The Spomen učionica Ive Andrića (Ivo Andrić Memorial Classroom) is a memorial museum in the centre of Višegrad, Bosnia and Herzegovina, located 500 metres from the famous Bridge on the Drina. The building dates from 1892 and housed the Basic Folk School, where Nobel Prize-winning author Ivo Andrić learned to read and write. In 2008, the people of Višegrad established a memorial classroom here in his honour, featuring a period school classroom from the early 19th century and photographs of Andrić taken in Višegrad. The memorial is administered by the cultural institution Dom kulture Višegrad, located in the adjacent building.
