Mishima City Museum of Local History

Our collections mainly consist of items from Mishima’s history and folklore. We have special exhibitions on the first floor 3-4 times a year. The theme of the second floor is folklore. The exhibitions are made up of the tools of local craftsmen and farmers. There are also farmhouse models. The third floor is dedicated to the history of Mishima from the Stone Age to the modern times. Then, there is a display focused on Mishima as a post town because Mishima used to be a stop on the Tokaido Road.
