Jakob Smitsmuseum

The Jakob Smitsmuseum is dedicated to the work of Belgian Expressionist painter Jakob Smits (1855–1928), who settled in the Kempen region of Belgium and became one of its most celebrated artists. The museum presents changing exhibitions from its permanent collection alongside special themed exhibitions, and is a key cultural institution in the municipality of Mol. The museum is associated with the Molse School of art and conducts ongoing scholarly research into Smits and related artists.
