Ecomusée

The Ecomusée du Pays des Collines in Ellezelles is not one museum but several located within metres of each other. Their common thread is connecting the past and the present for the enjoyment of every generation. Highlights include the École d'Autrefois, where visitors don aprons and dip plumes in inkwells to relive the school of yesteryear, and La Maison Louise — an authentic period home with a grocery and rooms revealing the way of life in "the old days". The Ecomusée also runs scheduled events, dialogue walks and themed activities throughout the year.
