Bezoekerscentrum Fort 4
FORT 4 in Mortsel is a 19th-century military fortification, originally built as part of the Brialmont fortified ring designed to defend Antwerp. Today the fort and its grounds serve as a public recreational area: the outer glacis is permanently accessible to pedestrians and cyclists, while the central reduit and surrounding green space host activities including educational cycling-safety programs, an adventure trail, plant fairs, nature walks, and community events. The municipality of Mortsel manages the site.
