Le Bois du Cazier

Le Bois du Cazier is a UNESCO World Heritage Site near Charleroi, Belgium, dedicated to industrial history and memory of the catastrophic 1956 Marcinelle mining disaster. Spread across 25 hectares of wooded grounds between three mining spoil heaps, the site houses multiple museums covering the coal, steel, and glass industries.
