Heemhuis Amalia van Solms
The Heemhuis Amalia van Solms is the archive, working space and exhibition home of Heemkundekring Amalia van Solms, founded in 1976 to study the history of the twin municipality of Baarle-Hertog and Baarle-Nassau (which also includes the residential centres of Ulicoten, Castelré and Zondereigen). The building — Baarle-Hertog's former town hall, built in 1877 by architect P. Taeymans and protected as a monument in 1994 — has housed the association since 1989. The Heemhuis is open every Wednesday evening from 19:30 to 21:00, on the first Sunday of every month from 10:30 to 12:30, and to groups by appointment.
