KBR Museum (Royal Library of Belgium)
The KBR Museum is the cultural wing of the Koninklijke Bibliotheek van België (Royal Library of Belgium), housed in the institution's historic Art Deco building on the Mont des Arts in central Brussels. The museum's centrepiece is the Library of the Dukes of Burgundy, one of the finest surviving collections of medieval illuminated manuscripts in the world, assembled by the Burgundian rulers in the 14th and 15th centuries. The permanent collection also features rare incunabula, historic maps, prints, and drawings. The KBR holds over 5 million items in total, including the world's largest collection of Belgian heritage material.
