Atelier KANAL

Kanal – Centre Pompidou is a major new museum of modern and contemporary art and architecture taking shape in the former Citroën Garage on Brussels' Sainctelette Square, near the Brussels–Charleroi Canal. Opening to the public on 28 November 2026, it brings together five floors of exhibition galleries, a library and archives (including Kanal Architecture, formerly CIVA), an indoor playground, rooftop restaurant, bakery and shops. The institution opens with ten exhibitions spanning art and architecture, including "A truly immense journey", a century of Centre Pompidou collection highlights, solo shows by Joëlle Tuerlinckx, Banu Cennetoğlu, Manon de Boer and others, and works drawn from Kanal's own collection and international partners.
