Maison Van Gogh

Maison Van Gogh in Cuesmes (near Mons) is the house where Vincent van Gogh lived from August 1879 to October 1880, during his time as a lay preacher in the Borinage mining region. It was here that Van Gogh decided to become an artist. The museum preserves the modest miner's house and tells the story of this pivotal period in his life.
