Erasmus House and Beguinage of Anderlecht
The Erasmus House (Maison d'Érasme) in Anderlecht, Brussels, is one of the oldest preserved private homes in Belgium and a museum dedicated to the humanist scholar Erasmus of Rotterdam. The site includes the historic gardens (open March-November) and the adjacent restored Beguinage of Anderlecht, a remarkably preserved architectural ensemble that is freely accessible to the public until the new museum opens. Permanent collections feature works on Erasmus, Renaissance humanism, and the history of the beguines.
