Long Museum West Bund
The Long Museum West Bund is one of China's largest private contemporary art museums, founded by collectors Liu Yiqian and Wang Wei and opened in 2014. Located along the Huangpu River at Shanghai's West Bund cultural corridor, the museum occupies a dramatically converted coal unloading bridge — one of the few remaining industrial heritage structures in the city. Spanning 33,000 square metres, the museum hosts major exhibitions of Chinese and international contemporary art alongside classical Chinese artefacts and archaeological objects from the founders' extensive collection. It is a flagship institution in Shanghai's transformation of former industrial riverside land into a world-class cultural precinct.
