Iida city Museum
The Iida City Museum (飯田市美術博物館), located on the former grounds of Iida Castle in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, explores the natural history, local history, and art of the Iida region and the southern Nagano area known as the Ina Valley. The museum's collections include celebrated works by Nihonga painter Hishida Shunsō, who was born in Iida, alongside natural history specimens, archaeological artefacts, and folk materials. Opened in 1989, it serves as the primary cultural institution for the city.
