Longquan Celadon Ware Museum

The Longquan Celadon Ware Museum in Longquan City, Zhejiang Province, traces the 1,700-year history of Longquan celadon — one of China's most celebrated ceramic traditions. The museum showcases the technical mastery behind the distinctive jade-green glaze produced by Longquan kilns, which supplied the imperial court, influenced ceramics across Asia and Europe, and were exported along the ancient Maritime Silk Road. Exhibits include rare celadon vessels, tiles, and sherds spanning the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, alongside documentation of the region's hundreds of kiln sites, whose craft tradition is recognised as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage element.
