Otsu City is located on scenic area beside The Lake Biwa the largest in Japan and surrounded by beautiful mountains. So,there are many richly historical site and culturural properties at Otsu. The Otsu City Museum of History started on 1990, has important roles of researching, conservating, and collecting about cultural properties and historical materials, and serving educational program for the people to love the history and culture of Otsu and Japan.
