Asahi Group Oyamazaki Villa Museum of Art

The Asahi Group Oyamazaki Villa Museum of Art in Kyoto exhibits artworks connected to the Mingei (folk craft) movement championed by Tamesaburo Yamamoto, the first president of Asahi Breweries. Highlights include masterpieces from Claude Monet's "Water Lilies" series alongside ceramics by Kanjiro Kawai, Shoji Hamada, and Bernard Leach. The villa, with its period architecture, garden, and café, presents around sixty works from a collection of approximately 1,000 artworks.
