Liaoning Provincial Museum
The Liaoning Provincial Museum in Shenyang is one of China's major provincial museums, housing an extensive collection spanning thousands of years of northeastern Chinese history and culture. Its collections include ancient bronzeware, Tang dynasty silk paintings, Song and Yuan dynasty calligraphy, porcelain, lacquerware, and exhibits on the region's natural history. The museum's new building, opened in 2015, covers over 100,000 square metres and features dozens of permanent galleries.
