The building of the World Brick Museum was originally built as a torpedo storage of the former Maizuru Naval Arsenal in 1903. This is one of the oldest existing steel-framed brick buildings in Japan. We opened this museum to promote an appreciation of brick, which is one of the attractions in Maizuru.
