The area known as Chikatsu Asuka, located in southeastern Osaka Prefecture, holds a number of impressive historical and cultural assets from Japan’s Kofun Period(approximately 250-500 A.D.). Here, you'll be able to explore some of the wonders of Japan's mysterious past—the age of kofun, ancient burial mounds and artifact from kofun. This building surrounded by woods was designed by Mr. Tadao Ando. The bird’s eye view of the exhibition room has the form of a keyhole-shaped mound. The roof has become like stairs. The tower called yomi rises is high in the center.
